The growing popularity of Android makes the operating system is a prime target for virus makers. this also ogled by releasing Symantec Norton Mobile Security. 

Android Market is experiencing explosive growth with millions of applications in it. But according to the findings of the latest Internet Security Threat Report from Symantec, the researchers identified that the number of malware for Android quadrupled from a year earlier. 

No wonder then if Symantec released specifically for security applications on the Android platform, either a smart phone or tablet.

Detecting and Removing Malware 
Norton Mobile Security for Android 2.0 detects and removes threats, viruses and spyware from the files, SD memory card (Secure Digital), and updates are downloadable applications. 

Norton Mobile Security Lite version can be tasted for free through the Android Market. The paid version of this product is priced at $15 price range for one license.
